Description
f you are looking for an inexpensive lip gloss that adds a touch of color plus a little something extra, this is the one for you! The texture of this gloss is a slightly thin liquid gel that is not sticky. I immediately felt my lips soften while the gloss itself was so light it felt like it had completely absorbed within seconds. The ripening lip tint happened within a few minutes. It was a very pretty natural pink that just deepened my natural lip color, but with the added shimmer. In addition, my lips were perfectly moisturized and never felt dry or chapped while I wore it.
I loved the subtle tint effect that didn't become overwhelmingly bright pink/urple, but still made me feel like I wasn't completely bare. The shimmer was really, really pretty. It was not over the top in any way but just added that special touch to my perfectly pink shade. It also had a very pleasant light berry fragrance/flavor. The staying power was also very good, with my pink shade lasting several hours before I needed a touch up. I also loved using it just before bed so that I woke up with that little extra bit of color on my lips (which I'm not sure if my husband actually noticed! :) This is a special lip product that I don't plan on being without now! The best part of testing beauty products is that no matter how much you know about ingredients and formulas there is ALWAYS something new to learn- and every now and then that something new is really lovely and delivers on all it's claims.
Fruits and Passion, the Canadian based skincare line, has multiple lines for every skin type and fragrance lover, but this Argan oil based skincare line is one of their finest for dry skin.
The small container holds a very concentrated (less than a dime sized amount was all I needed for both hands), rich cream which was soft and light in texture at the same time. As soon as I massaged it in I could feel the cream sink in and it left a beautiful, nourishing sheen on my hands. They weren't in the least bit greasy, and my cuticles were soft and hydrated. I loved how the skin on my hands looked and felt the longer I used this, which was usually several times a day. This is an unscented cream, which I know many of you prefer, and because of the size, it's easy to pack in most bags.

Lumecin Overnight Brightening Treatment

It's meant to look like a prescription product, and in fact, Lumecin did pack a powerful punch to produce a significant change in my skin. I had never heard of this product before, but after doing some research, I found out that quite a few of my fellow beauty lovers use this a part of their skin care regimin, and now I see why!
I used this treatment as directed after cleansing at night. I applied a dime's worth on my skin. It felt extremely light and was smooth to the touch, although visually it looks a bit like Prep H (don't be scared!). It was so light in fact, that I at first doubted what it could do.
That is until the morning after using it for 2 consecutive nights. My skin had an unbelievable glow and the texture was so soft. Every morning after I used it I woke to skin that just looked healthy and alive. It was so easy to just dab a bit of concealer and eye makeup and head out the door I felt so confident about my skin. As directed, I used this every night for about 2 weeks, and then went to 3x week. I didn't experience any irritation or flaking.
During the day I used a lotion with spf to help keep my hyperpigmentation at bay, and combined with this treatment at night, I also saw a significant improvment/lightening of my tiny dark spots left from some previous breakouts. This is a little bottle that packs a powerful punch! I was simply amazed with how this booster really made a difference in my normally dry skin.
After my first few days using the clear, light serum before my regluar moisturizer my skin never looked and felt so soft and smooth. I only needed to use about 3-4 drops each time. It sank in instantly, but left a very silky, smooth finish that didn't feel heavy at all. It created a nice "cushion" for either my day moisturizer or my night cream.
Any little fine lines and dry patches on my cheeks that would normally appear were minimized significantly by using the booster in combination with my moisturizer. It really was like the booster supercharged the effects of my moisturizer.
I've used several of Dermalogica's products, and for me this is by far one of their best and worth every penny, espcially since the bottle will last a good while due to the small amount needed each application. (via Palcinka Beauty)

What a treat this Juicy Tube was to try - and this is coming from someone who has MANY of them!
I love the concept of the shades/flavours being based on French delicacies, and it was no surprise that Lancome hit the nail on the head in particular with this shade, Cinnamon Brioche! In the tube, it looks like a deep reddish brown, but on the lips it was a luscuious, sexy shimmery bronze with deep red accents. It made my entire face light up, looked amazing with my skin tone and of course made my lips look tres sexy. :) I liked wearing it on it's own as it did have enough pigment to really give a nice color on my lips, but it was also amazing over some of my medium reddish-brown nude lipsticks as well. This is also a color that will work on all skintones, including very deep ones.
Then there's the flavor - a very light and pleasant "cinnamon meets freshly baked buns", that lingered subtly thoughout the day. I just loved it. As always, I loved the light feeling and silky smooth texture of the Juicy glosses, and yes, there was a bit of stickiness to it, but it's never been a hinderance to me. Since this is a limited edition I strongly urge you to go get a few while you can! (via Palacinka Beauty)

Sephora: Dylan's Candy Bar Birthday Cake Batter Body Smoothie Lotion

I fondly remember walking into my house growing up after school to the smell of freshly baked cakes. It's a scent that just instantly makes me smile at the memories. On occasion I got to watch my mother make cakes and one of the best parts was mixing everything together and of course smelling the batter and licking the bowl after she poured everthing into the baking pan.
I've tested a few other cake and dessert inspired body products and most of them were either way to artificial smelling, smelled like the frosting on the cake, were way to sweet to even bear applying on my body, or didn't have enough scent at all to be called whatever the sweet treat they were named after!
This product has totally made me a fan of a category that I had just simply lost hope in. It's the most precise, acurate, delicious smelling cake batter scent I have ever experienced. The body lotion is white, medium/thick in texture with a wonderful slip that allowed it to just glide over my body. The moisturiziation was very good and I loved how I did indeed smell like "cake batter" but it was so pleasant and lingered faintly just the right amount of time over the course of the day (3-4 hours). It was a sweet, but light smell that I never got tired of.
The bottle itself is fun and cheery like the rest of the line, and of course the actual Dylan's Candy Bar! This is such a great surprise that was perfect for my dry skin AND had this fun fragrance. It's a perfect gift idea and wonderful way to treat yourself with after a long day (or a week of really dieting with no sugar :)! (via Palacinka Beauty)

Nurturing Force Face Blotting Paper

Like many of you, I've found that blotting papers are the way to go in terms of touch ups during the day, especially when you have daily mid-day and evening oilies like I do. I've found a few over the years that I've liked alot, but nothing new has caught my attention until now.
Nurturing Force blotting paper is a sheet roll in a small, light dispenser (about 2 1/2 in" long). What makes this a favorite of mine is the fact that the texture of the sheet is super soft and silky, and even smells great.This paper is made from a man made two fiber paper, which is what gives it this distinctive feel. In addition, since it's a sheet roll, I was able to tear off exactly the amount that I wanted each time, quickly and easily (the company estimates 70-125 sheets can be created from the roll). The blotting paper itself was extremely absorbant and best of all it's double sided, which means that I was able to use both sides of the paper and still be able to blot the oil - a great feature. The actual dispenser was very sturdy and cut the paper easily.
The version I used was the Aloe Vera, which had a nice clean scent. For those of you that like additional fragrance, the paper also comes in Bulgarian Rose (Not Rose Water) and Lavender Essential Oil versions which also smell incredible and extremely authentic.
I don't know how I got along without this product, but now that I've discovered it, I will always have a roll with me! (via Palacinka)

Sonia Kashuk has become a master at creating not only cosmetics but cosmetic tools for the masses that are a perfect combination of form+function, and this foundation brush is right at the top of my list of favorite Kashuk products.
This foundation brush is about 7 in" long with a black handle conviently shaped to fit perfectly in your fingers. I loved how light it was, and how sturdy the bristles were. They were soft, yet firm and helped me to apply my cream/liquid foundations smoothly and evenly. I didn't have any brush lines, and the brush distributed all the foundation on my face, and did not leave residual foundation on the brush. It comes in clear hard plastic case, so it was easy to store in the bathroon or to pack for travel.
For those of you who love applying concealer and cream blush with a brush, you should know that this also worked great for me on both fronts. I loved that is was also versatile.
The brush was easy to clean and really held up well after getting regular use week after week. This is a fantastic brush at a great price and should be in everyone's makeup kit! (via Palacinka)

Molton Brown Relaxed Traveller Kit

Whether you actually have a trip coming up this weekend or for the soon-to-be-here holidays, no matter; this kit is an absoute must for your bath/body routine. This is one of the most beautiful, well thought out travel kits with products that also I loved to smell and use.
The zip close box, made of a very sturdy cardboard, is beautifully designed as you can see above. It was the perfect size for travel, elegantly packed and I love the color combinations. The whole presentation made this kit look much more expensive than it is, (although this is still a luxury travel kit purchase).
The products all contain a Chinese ingredient called yuan zhi. It's indeed relaxing and the scent reminded me of a very soft berries tempered with some citrus notes. It's very unique and I used the sleep mist often just to have that scent around me during the day. With the 100ml size (and under) of the products and the plastic bag which holds them, I also didn't have to worry about secuity at the airport as they were created with FAA regulations in mind.
The shower gel and lotion were very concentrated and left just the right amount of fragrance and moisture on my skin. For drier areas like my feet, I augmented the lotion with the balm cream.
If you're anything like I am, you will want to also get the full sized versions of everything in this line to keep at home! This is also a perfect gift idea for the beauty lover in your life." G.V.

Gold Revitalizer

This product is "24 carat gold" in every sense of the word.
Through a happy "beauty run in" with a lovely sales associate while at New York department store Takashimaya, I enjoyed a mini treatment with this Gold Revitalizer exfoliating mask. After loving the results on a small portion of my hand, I was eager to try in on my face and for an extended time.
I could not get over the fact that it contains actual 24 carat gold flakes thoughout the entire formula. The reasoning behind using the gold, according to Cosme Proud, is that natural gold contains ions help to reach, exfoliate, and moisturize even the skin's deepest layer.
All I knew at first was that not only did the jar and mask itself look elegant and extravagant, but when I used the small spatula (included with the jar) to scoop out the gel mask, it was silky and laced with tons of 24 gold flakes which were surprisingly soft on my skin. As per the instructions, I applied on it slightly damp skin and smoothed the gel over my entire face, concentrating a bit more on my nose area which tends to get blackheads. I left the mask on for about 10 minutes until it dried. When it did dry, it was not to a very hard, cracked consistency, but rather a firm but still pliant one. The gold flecks remained on my face throughout the entire period.
Next, as per the instructions, I began the process of massaging my face so that the gold flecks then began to exfoliate the skin, and then the dead skin, etc rolled off. What I was left with my skin that we so soft it was incredible. The was not a single rough surface on my skin - even my nose and chin, which are usually the most difficult areas for me to keep the pores from clogging. My skin was glowing, hydrated and soft without feeling irritated or dry at all. I enjoyed using this mask about 2-3 times a week and absolutely loved the results. This is without a doubt one of the best skincare products that I've come across this year and is now one of my top mask products.
This is a bit of a splurge, but one that you won't regret.
This revitalizer will work for all skin types, with the exception of very sensitive or acne prone. (via Palacinka Beauty)
