Description
Tarte just keeps coming up with the great ideas! A lip gloss PLUS tooth whitener in a super snazzy and well thought out double ended pen. The gloss is a very flattering clear cherry red which really perked up my complexion. This is a nice color that will work with all skin tones as well. It’s a smooth and very moisturizing formula which glides on easily with just a few clicks.
The teeth whitener (provided by Brite Smile products) is minty fresh. I simply swiped the brush across my teeth and I really did see a nice improvement in the whiteness of my teeth (I applied about 2 times a day as directed). The mint flavor also provided breath freshening which is another bonus!
The pen technology itself is really a marvel – its super lightweight, and slim enough to fit in any bag or jeans. The pen works with a central sliding mechanism in the middle of the pen. You push it to the left to activate the teeth whitener and twist the middle of the pen to deliver the product to the brush, and then push the central piece to the right for the lip gloss, where it works the same. (One end is marked with tarte / lip gloss and the other with Bright Smile /teeth whitener so you can easily tell which end is which. I love this! This will be in my daily makeup bag for sure!”
Note: This product is paraben free, sulfate free, mineral oil free, phthalate free and preservative free. (via Palacinka)

This has to be one of my favorite Benefit products! The two things I loved about this product is that it's hybrid formula of lipstick + gloss, and that the shades are actually very neutral/universally flattering! It isn't too waxy or two glossy, but just right. I got it in the shade "skinny dip," a gorgeous pinky nude shade. I'm still love a nude lip for everything and this really is a great color for me.
The cream colors is well pigmented, go on smooth even without a lip balm. The staying power is good, but application after a meal is still needed.
It really is a lipstick that went on my lips smoothly in one sweep, faded evenly and naturally, and I could reapply once or twice with any trouble. This color will work best up to a Nia Long complexion. I would love to try even more of their lovely shades – I think these will keep me coming back for more! (via Palacinka)

Description
This is a fragrance that is simple, but pleasant in its basic nature. It’s fruity, but equally fresh and pleasant. The initial notes on me were fresh peach – but not the sickly sweet and cloying type of fragrance. It is pale, clean and sparkling. This lasted a fair while. Then I began to get the flowery notes, such as tuberose, freesia, white hibiscus, white woods and orris. And it just got cozier and warmer as the time passed. I loved the tuberose in it in particular.
This fragrance is for the woman who wants "romantic and feminine" more than "sensuous and seductive". While it is girlie, it is not boring, it is sweet and calm and charming. For example, it’s perfect for church, brunch with in-laws, a wedding, and travel. The lasting power is very good (fragrance oil tends to last longer than EDT). I will definitely layer this will the larger bottle for everyday wear however. The roller ball contains the fragrance oil version of the scent. It is quick drying and not greasy, and I loved how I could pinpoint exactly where I wanted the fragrance to go with no muss, no fuss.
No, your eyes are not deceiving you…there is also a lip gloss included, which is a sheer cheery, flattering watermelon/cherry shade which was not too sticky, also had a nice peach fragrance, and looked great on many of our testers as it just warmed up the skin with that nice touch of color. Perfect idea for quick touch ups and travel! This is a very well thought out item with a lovely scent to match! I could not have been more pleased this, which was my first Hilfiger scent. Description
This is a very pretty lip gloss that is glittery, but not over the top in any way. The shade is a flattering creamy champagne peach with a touch of light brown (that looks great with the shades in the Bobbi Brown Nude Palette as well). This is meant to be a “your lips but better” shade, with a bit of kick to it. I generally wore this over one of the Bobbi Brown Nude palette colors, and also with other light brown/pink lip shades.
I loved that the gloss is not too sticky, gave a nice shine, felt light on my lips, and the glitter was not large or gritty. The glitter also did not “migrate” or flake off during the day, which I appreciated.
The staying power is excellent as well for a gloss. Since this is a sheer shade, if your lips are more pigmented, a base of light brown liner or lipstick will be needed to really see the full color, although the glitter particles do show up in any event. This will work to enhance any nude lip shade on all skin tones. (via Palacinka)

Description
This is a fun color which is the result of the final Lancôme / Gucci Westman partnership. It just screams “Fresh, fun and perfect for spring”. I love the tube, which is slightly futuristic with transparent purple sides, and silver base. I actually didn’t know what to expect from this pink, as I am usually a “nude” lip person, but I was really happy with this medium blue-based sheer raspberry shade.
It's actually a bit brighter in the tube than it was on my lips because it goes on very sheer. The formula is creamy, smooth and light as a feather. This shade really brightened up my whole face, which was great on days when I didn’t have much time to apply more than this and mascara.
This color will work best up to a Nia Long complexion and because it’s sheer, will require those with more pigmented lips to add a bit of liner first. I found that this pink could be just as versatile and work almost as a neutral with many of my cosmetic looks. Yes, now I am a “Pink” girl! This is a must have and definite collector’s item for all lipstick lovers.” (via Palacinka)

CHANEL CRÈME GLOSS LUMIÈRE in Petit Four

Description
This little lip color pen really does have it all -- it's a gorgeous, neutral pink with a hint of peach, milky and pigmented but very wearable. Petit Four is a pink leaning toward rose with a teensy bit of peach--no shimmer, no drama, but lovely. The texture is wonderful, it lasts amazingly long and it's pigmented, which was great when I was looking for a moisturizing lip color that I could actually see, and not just over lip liner. I can actually wear this without lip liner and it's very well defined.
For those of you who may not be the biggest fans of the twist and polish lip pens (sometimes getting the exact amount of clicks to dispense the perfect amount of lip color can be a challenge), this CHANEL version the best of I've tried. This lip pen is also a real hybrid of creamy lipstick/gloss formula which was just faintly sticky, and had very comfortable wear (4+ hours) and great balance of subdued shine and full pigment.
I've received several compliments since wearing this shade. This is simply a beautiful product to treat yourself to. This color will work best up to a Queen Latifiah shade. (via Palacinka)

I’m so glad I’ve discovered the Becca line! This was a perfect introduction for me to this brand and now this is one of go-to lip glosses (and yes I have A LOT of glosses). The shade is a golden brown that has some shimmer (but not glitter). The texture is soft and creamy but did not feel heavy on my lips. It also did a great job of moisturization which I love.
Although this may look like a common brown shade at first glance in the tube, it’s actually quite varied and unique, as it’s a gorgeous coppery brown with the addition of a very slight golden shimmer. It looks darker in the tube than on the lips. I used it alone and I also love it over milky brown lip liner for a delicious caramel/honey tinted mouth. This is also very sexy to pair with a smoky eye at night. This shade will work best up to a Garcelle Beauvais complexion, and if you have a more pigmented lip tone applying a brown lip liner will be necessary to really see all the tones of this gloss. R.K. Description
L’Oreal really does know no bounds! This new long lasting lip color is truly an innovation whose time has come. The product comes in a new compact exclusive mirror case (great for quick touch ups day or night!) about the size and shape of a cigarette lighter.
One of the tubes is the actual lip color, applied with a sponge applicator, which was a beautiful plumy brown that was very flattering for day and night. The second, white tube is the shine/moisturization treatment.
Note: You MUST allow the lip color to dry fully for 2 minutes before adding the conditioning top coat! The shine factor was just incredible! Even more impressive was the fact that I really didn’t need a touch up my lips after eating breakfast, drinking during the day – or even kissing my hubby! The top coat kept my lips soft and moisturized, all without feeling sticky or stiff – this is a feat in and of itself, all at a great price!
I can’t wait to try more colors. This is a run - don’t walk to buy product girls…. (via Palacinka)

Description
OK I admit it.
I did think that this necklace was absolutely gorgeous and really didn’t care if the gloss actually worked (shame on me!), but as I happily discovered, the gloss itself is amazing and so flattering on me.
The color is a shimmering pinky-copper (It read a little more copper on my lips) that is light, has a nice smooth consistency and is not sticky! Even better, the shine factor is amazing. I wore it alone and also over more neutral lipsticks and really loved the color and the way the shimmer worked with my skin tone. Great for day or night too. Please note that because it is on the lighter side, this will work best on more lightly pigmented lips and up to a Gabrielle Union complexion.
As far as the actual design, it inspired by a dazzling diamond piece from the Christian Dior Couture collection, featuring crystal detailing and a dangling Dior logo. I found that it actually was convenient when I wanted to do discreet touch ups during parties and after dinner. There is also a little mirror on the topside of the pendant which makes it even easier to use.
It’s so glam and you can just do a touch up anywhere! This is truly the future of cosmetics. (via Palacinka)

Hard Candy Take Out Makeup Kit: Combination Sets

Description
OK girls --for those of you who love cute makeup packaging and also expect a quality product, Hard Candy has created the ultimate kit! I LOVE this kit and by the end of my review period, I could not pry this out of my bag! (Yes, I especially loved the adorable Chinese take out package!!!)
This is super small – (1"in x 3.5"in x 2” in) and light weight to carry with me for touch ups. Now on to the actual kit contents…
This very cute multi-level (3 levels) makeup palette contains 8 tiny eye shadows in various colors (Note: they are on the sparkly side), 2 concealers, a blush, a bronzer, 6 lip glosses, tiny black eyeliner and black mascara. Most of the eye shadows are very workable and flattering shades and the lip glosses are cute with many browns, reds and pink which are on the sheer/medium finish side. I found that my favorite product in this case was a total surprise -- the concealers...yes, the concealers. The coverage was fantastic and the color match was very good as well. This kit really contains everything you need to create a full face!
The products also smell yummy, like sugar, the blush is a nice color, and the bronzer is also very flattering with good wear. The mascara is GREAT as well and I would use it solo. The palette itself has a cute mirror, and while the applicators are fine for on the go application, overall I found better results using my professional brushes applying it at home (via sephora)

I was looking for a nice gloss and this one is nice. It goes on well, isn't sticky or goopy like a lot of glosses and the container it comes in is cute. You brush this gloss on with the included wand. The tingle from their blend of oils, including cinnamon and ginger, is nice. It doesn't BURN or feel unpleasent and it did plump my lips even though my lips are rather full already. What was nice is that gave my lips a very smooth look as it filled in some of the lines and crevices. I also like the fact that it isn't pigmented or anything so it could give a very natural look. It's really just a fun product (via duwop)

Well, if you are looking for a cute and different type of lip gloss Benefit has created this one for you! This blue-pigmented gloss was created with the notion that pigments with blue in them make the teeth look whiter (especially in photos).
I have to say, it gives not only a great shine and pleasant minty flavor (when you inhale it also brings in the minty fragrance to your mouth -- a quick refreshment and great when you don’t have a mint around!). The texture of the gloss is fairly light and not sticky. The shine factor is medium/high, so it can be used during for day as well layered for night time looks.
The color did make my teeth appear whiter (they are fairly white on their own but everyone wants whiter!) and I applied it both over brownish-caramel and brownish-pink-toned lip sticks, as well as alone on my lips and it looked nice. Note that if you wear it on bare lips alone you will see a slight blueish tint on your lips, but it actually looked very nice against my brown skin tone. This will look great on all complexions however, and since it comes in a small tube, it’s easy enough to throw in any bag or keep at the gym. (via sephora)

Sue Devitt is one of the most talented creators of color cosmetics out there today. Her shades may often seem at first glance to be one way, and then after applying they create an alternate, beautiful look! I loved the Costa del Sol color. It's a very versatile color that goes from the office to dinner. It looked much darker in the bottle and while it's pigmented it looked very natural on the lips. It's a flattering sheer nude w/ some mauve, and a touch of shimmer but not glittery. The gloss itself is not too tacky or thick and one comes with a swab type applicator. As with many of her other products, the texture is incredible. The gloss felt great on my lips; smooth and moist feeling, and not sticky at all! Basically, it looked gorgeous on me, made me feel great wearing it and I love it! (via palacinka)

This is a very interesting lip gloss. Datura/gold is a bright orange pop color with specks of gold and green glitter in the tube – however it goes on sheer and not sticky. The shine is like MAC lip glass but without all that “hair stuck on your lips” stickiness. I like this by itself as a super shiny “your lips but better” shade. I also love it on top of my nude/brown lipsticks or with a nude lip liner (like MAC Cork) as it creates a scrumptious caramel sexy nude! The fragrance is a slight rose scent but it quickly dissipates. If you really like that “glassy” look on your lips this is the product for you--its gorgeous. However the glitter is very obvious close up, so you may need to keep this tucked away for "After 5" depending on your profession! Please note that you will need a good makeup remover to take this off so that the extra glitter is not left behind on your lips. (via drugstore)

Description
I've been in a bit of a lip gloss "slump" lately and needed to find something different with a healthy dose of color. This is it! Love it! It goes on very smooth, but does not feel too slippery. It seems like this is a more "grown-up" type of gloss in terms of application, feel and color palette. The color "Burning Up" is a nice coral-orange shade that doesn't scream bright clown orange. It is medium-sheer coverage and this particular shade has high shine with some golden shimmer (not glitter). The packaging is a tube with a sponge applicator and the applicator is nice-- very soft and spongy, with a groove in it which helps hold and apply the gloss. I think it delivers the right amount of gloss--not too much or too little.
The gloss feels moisturizing and lasts longer and gives better coverage than most, but it is not whisper-light. It goes on a lot sheerer than in the bottle, but it's still so pretty- it really brightened up my whole face and my girlfriends asked me almost every day what I was wearing! This is a great alternative to a red or a bronze/brown lipgloss and would work up best up to a Nia Long complexion with light/medium pigmented lips. (via Lancome)

Where has this line and this product been all my life! I have had the same three favorite lip glosses for the past 2 years, and nothing before has really come my way to knock my socks off and add to that – until now! I’m really excited this was my first introduction to the Make Up Forever line.
At first I thought it was going to be scary bright since it’s a bright tangerine color in the tube. But upon application I found it to be the most gorgeous color- a gorgeous sheer deep peach with bronze and golden shimmer – its not glitter. I love the texture a lot -- it's not tacky, sticky, or too glossy. It has a pleasant melon smell & taste –but it’s not too strong or distracting. The color is so unbelievably beautiful. I loved how it brightened my face right up. I love it!
The shine is high so I found it best to use a lighter hand during the day at my office but put it on full force for a sexy night time look. This will look best from Mally Roncal complexion to a Gabrielle Union. (via palacinka)

This product has that perfect combination of exquisite packaging, attractive colors and great formulation!
How can you go wrong with this lovely little (super lightweight) golden bullet which has a small mirror built in on the side and two compartments of color which you turn the body of the tube around to reveal. At the top of it all is the lip brush adorned with the YSL emblem. I felt like a glamorous “Bond-Type” of woman every time I applied it!
I used this in the #4 Beige Carmin color which is great for a nice cherry lip (despite the name “Beige”). On one side the satin color is a deep pinkish-red and other color, which provides the shine is a creamy champagne with a nice bit of dimension to it from shimmer.
Since I have more pigmented lips I layered the red heavier for a true red effect, but on lighter lips just a swipe or two will do the trick. The shine is perfect to apply right in the middle of the lower lip for a very sexy effect and can still be worn during the day. The fragrance and taste is a lovely subtle cherry. The colors kept my lips moist and the wear was decent (it won’t last though a lunch, but then that just gave me reason to whip it out again!). I can’t wait to add a few more to my makeup collection! This particular color (a light-to-medium rosy pink) is not super pigmented --it's on the sheer side and gives my medium-pigmented lips a subtle glaze of color unless I pile it on. This has a rounded tip applicator and the texture of the gloss is sticky, but not unbearable. Upon application it looks like a sheer berry/red with a shimmer that is gold and reddish burgundy.
