Description
There are now many imitators but only the originator of this contemporary hyperpigment impressionist style of southwest portraiture, landscapes and animals captures and projects the emotion of his characters from native American culture. Nieto is the originator. Western and Southwest theme galleries throughout the country carry Nieto's art, and you can order serigraphs online, even some oils. Look for chances to see Nieto's paintings, especially in Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Albequergue, Texas, New York and Boston.
Nieto is well-established and his work reliably appreciates in value. On emotional projection, there's more realism here than in many photographs. Nieto's superchromatic style shows you an alternate view to understanding who or what's in front of you. If you're not ready for an oil, framed serigraphs are very limited editions, beautiful and convincing in their own right, and appreciate well over time. (via John Nieto)
