About Me

My first book, SURF LIKE A GIRL (Three Rivers Press, March 2005), which features practical advice for girls who surf or who just want to embody the surfer-girl attitude, made me realize I wanted to spend my time writing and empowering women to do anything they set their minds to. So I left my day job at a film studio to do just that. Now I spend my time as a writer and surf instructor. SKATER GIRL: The Girl’s Guide To Skateboarding will be released by Ulysses Press this summer and my web ”˜zine SurfLikeaGirl.net, a surf, skate and snow stoked site, will be up later this month.
