Tech Girl for Life!

I have been involved in the tech world for about 12 years now. Most of my youth was spent being a tech girl (geek girl) and learning how to fix computers. Video games, music, and tech toys were my other interests.

I have worked professionally for over five years now on the business side in Information Technology. Keeping up on the latest trends and technologies is the key to survival in the business.

I still enjoy playing video games and upgraded to a Wii earlier this year. My interests are tech gadgets, fashion (for the girl geek of course), music, and home gadgets that make my life easier! I am always on the prowl for the latest and greatest items, so keep watching!

What is the next…

Purchase you’ll make?

I will be purchasing an LCD High Definition Flat Panel television. I have limited space in my living room and am looking forward to utilizing some empty wall space!

Trend in design?

For electronics, better design with more features and easy to use technology. I also predict more and more devices going to touchscreen technology, including computers, printers, and cellphones.

Fad that will fade?

Glossy-coated gadgets like laptops and MP3 players. While they look all shiny and appealing brand new, I think people will get tired of cleaning noticeable fingerprints off their toys everyday.

Thing you’re going to fight for?

Just say no to Internet Censorship! The government has been trying for years to hand over your rights to an open Internet to the FCC (the group who censors television). Don't let them take away your rights to free speech and abilities to decided for yourself what is appropriate for you to watch. Say No to Net Neutrality!

Thing that will change the world?

The Internet is getting to capacity...I am excited about the Grid project. Think about an Internet that is hundreds of times faster than it is now with less bandwidth. Streaming movies in realtime!
