My dad gave me this print by Michelle Armas which I couldn't wait to hang on my wall. I love how it was inspired: "I am considering what it was like to discover bacteria and germs for the first time, and what it must have felt like to imagine them." As a scientist turned designer, I feel like I really relate to this sense of imagination.

My thoughtful little sister got me a tub of Lush's Lemony Flutter butter which I use on my feet to battle the Spring/Summer sandal syndrome. It smells amazingly lemony and really makes everything feel super smooth. It's apparently great for any dry skin areas: elbows, knees, heels, cuticles and all.

I have to admit these stuffies are some of the most unique things I've seen on Etsy, and that's saying a lot given the talent pool. This little creature is called Rafi Shkolnik the DEER. I love the dichotomy of his dark and brooding appearance with his gentle and nature-loving personality (see description). He's made by Gabby (of postdesigner), a designer/illustrator from Tel Aviv.

I first spotted Ohmelisa's scrap fabric garland at the Handmade Arcade craft fair in Pittsburgh (2007). I was going for a more handmade craft look to our Christmas tree this year and it fit perfectly, obviously. I scooped one up at the fair and bought a second one via Etsy. Color Obsessed: Yellow and White

Since Summer 2007, I've been obsessed with brightening up my living room with yellow and white accents. The style of the room includes contemporary modern to mid-century vintage furniture pieces from Craigslist, Norfolk, and Overstock. The walls are painted in Yarmouth Blue and Cedar Key Benjamin Moore eggshell. The floors are a walnut stain.
