Description
They might not be practical, and I could see them being pretty dangerous a la brass knuckles, but tell me they aren't cute and unique. Sets of these rings create miniature landscapes on your hands, or 'handscapes' if you will. Man are they expensive though. (via Geekologie)

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Ox Premiere

Description
Most people can say they've owned a pair of chucks at one point in their life. These premium all stars are a little more sophisticated and about $10 more, but it's well worth it. The subtle changes and reinforced (and let's be honest, better) construction will make these a more durable and stylish option than the regular old chucks, without having to fork over a ton more money. I love the muted color combos, and the more you look, the more different variations you're likely to find.

Description
This is bar none the best grocery store you could ever go to. It has all the essentials for a economic, healthy, organic lifestyle, and then some. Best of all, it's cheap enough for a college student to shop at. I love Whole Foods for it's selection, but boy, that can really put a dent in my food fund. Trader Joe's also has some really surprising stuff, like their gourmet frozen foods, good bread, nice plants, $2 boxes of tea, and $2 bottles of wine (2 buck chuck, anyone?). Staff's always nice too. Plus, if you bring your own bags, they enter you into a raffle for some free groceries. We need more of these, everywhere

Honda Metropolitan Scooter

Description
Let's be honest, gas can cost a pretty penny. Solution: the Honda Metropolitan scooter. You can get one for around $2000 or $1000 used (while I love Vespas, they cost more than twice that). Insurance costs about $100 a year and many states don't even require you to register it's small but efficient 50cc engine. The Met's tank is 1.33L, getting 70 to 90 miles per gallon. No, I'm not kidding. At that rate, you've only got to fill up maybe twice a week for around 4 bucks a pop. New models top out at 45mph. Good for the environment, good for your wallet.
The orange scooter in the second photo is my own. Best thing I've ever purchased.

Description
With CD-Rs being commonplace these days, there are dozens of different brands and looks to choose from. But, these CD-Rs stand distinctly apart from the crowd: they're made to look like small vinyl records, complete with ridges. So if you're one of those old-school rockers that feel sad leaving your vinyls behind, this is a great way to transition into CDs. (via tokyomango.com)

Test tube plants in gel cultures are a growing trend these days. So how much better can it get than being able to carry one around with you? This cell phone charm comes in a variety of different plants and colors, and can live up to 6-8 months if treated well. All in all, this is a pretty unique item. (via geekologie.com)

Description
Commes des Garcons is known for their quirky haute couture, but the fashion house also has a fantastic line of avant garde perfumes. This is my favorite from the Sherbert line of lighter, cleaner scents (also comes in solids). It's perfect for everyday because it is so clean, with a hint of cinnamon that brightens my mood every time i catch a whiff.

Description
"Stain is a set of a teacups designed to improve through use. This project examines the assumption that use is damaging to a product (For example, scratches on an iPod)."
The teacup is treated in patterns, so that the untreated areas will pick up the pigmenting of whatever drink it holds. The color will grow and develop based upon your drinking habits.
I don't think it's for sale as of yet, but awesome idea! (via geekologie.com)
