Okay, it's not all about having "nice" stationery for your wedding day. Alas, the days of having proper calling cards (i don't count business cards as calling cards), seem to have gone out of "fashion", but as we know, fashion and trends are quite (emphasis) different from style (emphasis). As a freelance writer and author, it is difficult to know what my "card" should say or have. To this end, I had some printed with simply my name and the word "writer" and a contact phone number and email. Not address, etc. The name is on the front, the other information on the back and a small decorative detail from the type Perpetua. - if you're going to do this, go letterpress. Go with a heavy paperstock, off white - natural or ivory (Monadnock makes a beautiful stock), but something older - I have a friend who has one that reads, "The Former Mrs. ___" I may change mine to say "The Future Ex-Wife of _____" All joking aside, calling cards are a wonderful way to leave personal notes etc and you can have them sized to your preference. Just one woman's opinion.

Okay - there has been some negative press about this, mostly about how it is "lukewarm" and the general complaint (from certain quarters) that Bob is "too happy" (ah, the distant or not so distant, cry for more "Blood On The Tracks" - great album, but...). In my view, this is a solid album with some terrific songs. It has a zydeco sound, very New Orleans - makes sense - it has a great sense of optimism, hope, and forward motion, particularly the song, "I Feel A Change Comin' On" - you can take a gander on YouTube, but the whole album is really worth buying. I recommend the vinyl because although I am an mp3 digital generation, yes, the first thing i bought was a record - and nothing has the round warm sound of Vinyl. This is worth getting on Vinyl and the CD comes with it - it's not that much more money. If you have a stereo, I say go for it. I did. - s.r.p. (bob dylan on tant mieux)

okay, i admit, i have these in every color and have never worn any other sneaker save the one exception of my suede Pumas which I wore back in the when of Then (if you are GenX you'll remember those daze). These are easy, simple, and chic in their way. I wear them even with summer dresses and they have a charm all their own. It's all in how you pull it off, accessorize, but hey= you know this! the pale pink ones are beautiful as are the khaki. I'm not nuts about the green ones here - go for the pale pale or the khaki, which is really nice (more of a taupe). White, of course, always a summer classic. (via www.polyvore.com)

original, pale peach-rose with a touch of ivory detail. If you delight in the feminine, this is just delightful. You can find knock-offs, sure, but they are roughly the same price or more (i checked out places like Vicky's Secret, etc) and they are not as well made or have the detailing. This was clearly built to last. Ain't bein' a woman grand? Not only are we lovely, but our undergarments can be delightful too as we dance through life backward (and in heels). Highly recommend this site - s.r.p.

so hard to find mint condition full slips that are vintage, and sadly, a dying thing and not many women wear them anymore (they have gone the way of gloves and hats). But for those of us who love to "dress" this site has some of the best of the best. This pale buttery lemon slip is lovely.

Very hard to find good handbags, and I seek seek seek Greenwich Village and have yet to find one such as this. It's difficult to find bags in good condition with a clasp that is solid. This is an excellent site with a good variety. This is almost exactly like Grace Kelly's bag in Dial M for Murder, not that we want to be HER in that film, but every girl has a little Grace Kelly in her.... no? Many more beautiful bags on this site....

i own one of these, several actually if you count the white one, and they are beautiful on. This one is curved inward for your finger and fits beautifully, allow a little extra room for sizing because of the width of the glass - i have small hands and on my middle finger, i take about a 7 or 8, which is surprising, but the ring has to get over the knuckle...
these are very chic, tho i wouldn't wear more than one at a time... you don't want too many rings on; it just looks too cheap, i think....

Guerlain says they have stopped making this fragrance - at least they did last time I was in Paris and at the actual shop... and i've worn this fragrance for a long, long time so was highly disappointed.
To find this online is amazing! It's a classic fragrance, very chypre, but not well-known which makes it all the more interesting because it's subtle and not sweet or spicy but just sexy as hell - and what could be better than subtly sexy....? truly memorable, just like you....
