About sandielaw:

By day, I work in the quality department at a major food ingredients company. I'm working toward my second degree...this one will be in Food Science. My first degree was in Finance/Banking.

By night, I'm a proud mom and happy wife. My son (Monkeyboy)* is going to turn 6 in February. He's my pride and joy. My husband (Superfreak)* is a professional instructor at a national law firm.

I turned an obsession with weight loss into a hobby and then into a career. As is the hope of everyone who isn't independently wealthy, I sought out a job that would include my hobby. I found Food Science: chemistry meets nutrition.

As a result, my blog is very much about fitness and nutrition with a heavy emphasis on family.

    I had a cat named Monkey Boy! He'd do that "cat on a fence" pose (sideways profile but head still facing you), while simultaneously trying to charge you. This comical capering reminded us of a monkey, thus he was dubbed "Monkey Boy".
