Working mom obsessed with fashion, food, and health...

By day, I work in the quality department at a major food ingredients company. I'm working toward my second degree...this one will be in Food Science. My first degree was in Finance/Banking.

By night, I'm a proud mom and happy wife. My son (Monkeyboy)* is going to turn 6 in February. He's my pride and joy. My husband (Superfreak)* is a professional instructor at a national law firm.

I turned an obsession with weight loss into a hobby and then into a career. As is the hope of everyone who isn't independently wealthy, I sought out a job that would include my hobby. I found Food Science: chemistry meets nutrition.

As a result, my blog is very much about fitness and nutrition with a heavy emphasis on family.

I'm reading the Game of Thrones series by George Martin right now. Then I'm going to finish up the Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman.

Realizing that you as a consumer MUST participate in food safety by washing fruits and veggies, cooking your food thoroughly, and being a responsible consumer.
