Vizio 42" Class Plasma HDTV with Built-in Tuner
2 people recommended this item
Description
You may not have heard of Vizio, but they're American and they're shaking up the consumer electronics market. After we moved in to our new apartment, we found our 14" CRT TV to be a little... lacking. We craved an HDTV but failed to see how we could afford one.
Cue Walmart, as we happened to stray in to the TV section during a grocery run and stumbled across this 42" Plasma for under $700. Having deliberated while watching the demo model in store, we took the plunge and bought it. Let me tell you, we didn't regret it!
Excellent quality, provides us with HDTV, great gaming response (We've used it with the Wii, PS2 and XBOX360) and - my favorite part so far - it has 3 HDMI ports, so we've been able to hook up our Macbooks and watch DVDs from there on a huge screen!
Final point to make is that if you want an impressive looking TV even when it's off, this will deliver. Our living room is the envy of our friends!

Hands-Free Universal Remote Control

Description
With the holidays coming up, I'm gonna be all about lounging around and watching TV. Remote controls have revolutionized the world of laziness to the point where we can change channels with barely a flick of the thumb.
However, for those of us looking to push the relaxation to the next level, there is now a product to remove even that minor movement. The Hands-Free Universal Remote Control uses voice commands to control all your remote-controlled devices.
Sweet.

Yamaha Pacifica Guitar

Description
I've owned this guitar for many years and it's never let me down. Out of the box it returns a fairly decent sound, but given it's low purchase price it's worth spending the extra that you'd have paid on another guitar to get this one sounding supreme. My recommendations would be to take out the bridge pickup and put something a bit more meaty in there (I went with Humbuckers) and lose the Trem-arm, adding extra springs to the bridge in order to lock in Tuning. Fit this guitar out with a heavy gauge set of strings and you'll be amazed at the sound you can get from a supposedly "budget" instrument!

Currently delivering rave reviews (save for the disappointing camera), this new offering from Blackberry appears to be capable of living up to the hype. Personal highlights were the stunning display and the easy steps to set up push email.

My girlfriend (that i don't have) would want to be pop culturally relevant for Valentines day. She'd wanna get me something I'd love, but also something I'd never splurge on myself. The yearbook edition of Freak & Geeks is exactly that.

Who doesn't like light? I tend to keep a lamp or the main room light on most of the time but such things are pretty boring - look at this! A set of lights in a cool theme.

Great new generation of Apple laptops.
When you spend 10 hours a day with something it becomes part of you.
The Powerbook g4 and its current incarnation the MacBook Pro should become part of industrial history along side Ford's Model T and other classics.
