Description

I love the black patina on these, and the sorta distressed look the edges have too. They're very dramatic, but not gaudy. The design sort-of reminds me of a fleur de lis, which I've always loved. I'm also struck by how they somehow remain modern looking, while having an antique flair.

Description

Available in black, white and red (oh do they know what I love or what?) A truly simple design, executed really well. Where's the best place for your keys? Well a lock! Plastic, so it's not nearly as heavy as its masterlock brethren, but carries the cool look of an old-fashioned padlock. Keyring is affixed to the loop, and you're off and away.

Description

A different take on the titanium ring. We've all seen rings with enamel, even rings with concrete, but leather?! Now that's different. Available in black, brown, red and tan. It's a very distinct look, but it's restrained enough to wear everyday. Love the tactlessness.

Black and Silver Fan Necklace from Swizzlet

Description

Swizzlet started off seeling these off yet interesting bracelets made from swizzle sticks (hence the name). While I did like a couple of the designs, I really like how they've branched out with their more recent designs. I particularly like this necklace. It's very retro, and for some reason gives me a Great Gatsby impression. It'd look kick-ass on its own, but I think it'd also layer really well.

Ok, so this is not going in my house anytime soon, but I saw a (better) picture of it in Air France's in-flight magazine and just had to save it somewhere. It's got that old-school meets modern flair that Phillipe Stark is so good at. It looks so much better with the hurican shades on. I'll just continue to lust after his monetarily unreachable work.

Ok, so I have a minor black patent leather obsession, this is true. But the thing I really love about these shoes is the hidden platform. Now I'm 5'1", so I make no attempt to hide the fact that I wear heels all the time. There's no two ways about it, but there's something I really like about the way that it's been integrated into the shoe. It makes the heel much more comfortable, and doesn't scream about how much taller you wish you were.

Barbara Kruger was genius. Those three colors could cover jst about everything you need. Predominantly black & white, because contrast is king, but some red never hurt anyone
