Giant Squid! On a stripey shirt! I like it when people print on something other than your standard plain tee. I like how the lines bleed into the squid ever so slightly. Is this a new breed of see-through squid that sails though the sky instead of sea?

Description

I like a lot of things by Perch, which is a really great small ceramics maker. Yet I'm not sure if I think this concept is really cute, or just a bit weird. It's on the abstract side, with the rabbit outline being on a different plane than the vase, and the painted on cotton tail. The longer I look at it, the more I like it I think. Definitely eye catching though.

Description

I can not wait until it is warm enough to sit outside on a porch. When it is, I would love to be sitting by the glow of these lanterns. Available in black, white and red (the best three colors in the world). They can be hung, as well as placed on the ground, and I love the "Mexican and Moroccan inspired" patterns.

Description

I absolutely love the contrast of the red wood legs with the dark top here. And the stainless steel bands are great. I'm a sucker for its slightly asian feel and clean lines. Get me a pool, this table and a pitcher of mojitos and my summer is set.

Description

I feel more Zen just looking at this bench. It'd be great in the rock garden I long to have. But it'd look just as cool inside a house, adding some asian-inspired flair. It's made from recycled scrap-wood from New York's woodworking industry, so it's very eco-friendly as well.

What a funky design! A light that looks like it's dripping from your ceiling. I'm imagining a bunch of them hung from a ceiling in an industrial loft of something. It could look really cool, or incredibly freaky, depending. But a great concept none-the-less.

Description

Add the octopus to the list of freaky animals that I find utterly fascinating. I think it was spending too much time reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or something. This menacing creature graces a vase with a slightly uncharacteristic shape. Maybe one of its brethren gave it a squeeze prior to the kiln or something. Whatever it is, it's a totally unique piece that's sure to draw attention.

B2 Bangkok Stainless Steel + Resin Buckle & Belt by Tivi

Description

If you're allergic to brass and nickel, it's pretty hard to find a belt that won't cause you to break out in hives. Resin buckles are a great alternative. But a lot of times they're backed with metal, or are really fancy designs. This modern, minimal resin buckle is a great basic piece for any wardrobe, and a must have for those of us who are metal sensitive. There is some stainless in it, but looking at the design, it shouldn't be making skin contact, so you should be good to go.

Ultra-thin stainless steel pendant, inlaid with ebony, hung on cable-strands with a magnetic closure. A nice combo of modern and organic designs. The wood just adding a little bit of warmth to a hella-cool pendant.

Description

I find myself in the mood for exotic climes at the moment, and these lights play right into that. Each lamp is woven from buri, the center stalk of a palm frond, which makes even the material of these lamps exotic! The birds are stenciled on the diffuser in the center, and you change the light bulb via the cage door. Just makes you want to buy them all and swathe a room in gold and silk.

So it's spring, and thoughts of hillside picnics pop into mind. And what picnic would be complete without some yummy wine or sparkling champagne? Really. But bottles are bulky and can be unwieldy in a picnic basket. So here's an artfully designed solution. Made from gray merino felt (one of my all-time favorite materials) and held in place with lovely brown leather buckles. It's a very dashing piece of a picnic accessory. Unfortunately, ice bucket not included ;)

This is a workout top?! I haven't really paid too much attention to Stella McCartney's relationship with Adidias, but maybe I should. This looks smart enough to be worn around town, nevermind to a dance class. My favorite part is probably the lace up detailing in the back though.

I love the tactile quality of leterpressed objects. I just want to pick them up and touch them. Perhaps not the best thing if I want my guests to keep the coasters on the table and the drinks in their hands, but there you have it. The design is simple, but spring-y.

A simple idea, perfectly executed. Beautiful mint ribbon with brown flower scroll. Could be worn in reverse, but who would want just the green?! It's playful and spring-ish. I'm not one for overly girly jewelry, but this fits nicely into the funky and floral category.
