About smorrow:

I am the former CEO of ThisNext. I have spent the past twelve years working in interactive media, splitting time between San Francisco and Los Angeles. I am originally from Tennessee and I do my best to stay connected to my southern roots. My passions are golf, fine dining, movies, exercise, college football (Go Vols!) and almost any consumer electronic device.

Funny. I just had a dream about college football last night. Really. And my alma mater is not known for football (at least not since we lost Coach Spurrier).

...who would have thought?! I can respect the lack of love for Beach and am certainly on board with High Fidelity and No Country. They're both on a "top" list of mine, just not the Top 10.

Thought not. :-D But I had to ask. One of my aunts is actually from Pasadena, was married to my godfather there and then promptly relocated to Boston with him. And, yes, I was a flower girl in the wedding, along with my sister.

I'm guessing that the Rose Bowl Parade doesn't make it to the top of your greatest hits list. :-D

Yes, indeed, I am. I even picked up a drawl when I was down in Durham. Being in Cameron is one of the greatest fringe benefits of attending Duke undergrad. The "sixth man" truly does exist . . . and he is one of Duke's biggest basketball assets. But, then, the Lady Vols have dominated women's basketball for so many years. Did you ever catch one of their games ? !

Vols, eh? I know a little bit about them. The Bruins are going to beat them this September though!

Hi My Darling, I'm waiting on a man friend to come and see about my boat. It is dead as a door nail this am. Had a great time camping - went swimming, biking, walking, on a butterfly count, had a fire and roasted marshmallows. I have lots of pretty flowers in bloom and am planting more all the time. also building a fish pond in back. Talk to you later. Love Mom

i just sent this to lauren, but i'm really upset so i thought i'd send it to you too...i'm totally confused. i had a list called "spring abounds - just look around" up on my profile and it totally disappeared. is there a reason for that? did it contain inappropriate material or something? how come i wasn't notified? i'm really upset about it because i took a long time putting it together and it's just gone without explanation. please let me know if you're starting to experiment with censoring lists or something, but i'm really upset that there was no advance notification that lists were being randomly deleted. best. tia

Well I'm going to reach right out and give you feedback. I don't understand your rating system. How is it that some products that have been viewed 37 times and visited 3 times rank lower than products that have been viewed 6 times and visited 2 times? And how is it that I'm ranked 4th in Guangzhou? And how do I find my own products and where they're listed among the millions of products listed on the site. I'm probably the only person who goes through all 300 some odd pages of fashion favorites looking for where my products rank. And then I feel like products stay at the top because they were the first to be put up and so they'll always be clicked on since they're right there at the top to be clicked on. It would take an entire movement, not just a trend, to really change the top listings. I see that you're working on these problems with mavens and their favorites and lists and users of the day, etc. But you really haven't explored or explained your ranking systems and it leaves much to be desired. But just some thoughts. Still love your site.
