Jerry Maguire
2 people recommended this item
Description
This is one of my favorite movies despite the fact that I can't stand to watch Renee Zellweger on screen. She is so annoying. However, the character development of the Jerry McGuire role is brilliant. You can really feel his conflict, ambition, short comings, pain, and ultimately, joy. And Cub Gooding Jr is hilarious--although I don't think his performance was deserving of an Academy Award.

In Bruges

Description
This is a relatively under-hyped Hollywood production but is well worth watching. The acting is terrific and the story line creative. The setting of Bruges, Belgium is a nice addition to the movie experience. The content of the movie is not suitable for kids so reserve it for date night.

Maglite flashlights

Description
Flashlights should be sturdy. After all, you use them in the dark and they can easily be dropped. I used to buy cheap flashlights because the features on a flashlight are limited. However, the maglite's are sturdy, easy to hold, direct light efficiently and last longer than, well, you.

Panerai PAM 159 - 40mm Luminor GMT
First to recommend
Description
I have always fantasized about having one of these watches. I don't have a desire for a Rolex or an Omega (although I'd take one as a gift!) but I would love to have a Panerai. The distinct, over-sized face is so elegant yet sporty and very, very classy. It screams expensive and the price tag confirms that belief. I will buy myself one of these watches one day but for now I will settle for recommending it on my "luxury" list. Sigh......

Bushnell Golf Pinseeker 1500 Tournament Edition

Description
I recently used one of these devices on the golf course and found it amazingly handy in determining distance to the pin. It even adjusts for downhill or uphill distances showing you the actual "bird's flight" distance and the adjusted distance taking into account slop of the terrain. It's also really lightweight and simple to use. The only down side to this device is you can no longer complain about a missed shot based on course markers--there's only one place to blame. As they say, "it ain't the arrow, it's the Indian."

Four Roses Mariage Bourbon

Description
I am from the south and we love our bourbon. Kentucky is the home of bourbon and people in the know say Four Roses is one of the best. I recently went to the KY Derby and I tried some Four Roses Mariage vintage (it's limited edition). Pour it in a short glass with two cubes of ice - delicious.

Seersucker Aldridge three-button jacket - J.Crew
First to recommend
Description
I recently purchased a J. Crew seersucker suit for a trip to the Kentucky Derby. I have always wanted a seersucker suit and the one at J. Crew looks great and is fairly inexpensive ($300). These suits are light weight, breathe well, and offer a nice change in style from traditional suit colors and patterns. I highly recommend this product.

PB Elite Molded Foam Rollers
First to recommend
Description
I love to work out but the older I get the more my muscles need prep time or post work out recovery. I have found these foam rollers are a terrific way to get blood flowing to trouble spots or achy areas of the body to promote muscle flexibility and recovery. Simply use these foam rollers a few minutes each day and you will be amazed with the enhanced flexibility and range of motion. The black rollers are the densest (hardest) but they also make blue ones which are slightly less dense and hard. For the money, you can't beat this simple way to help stay healthy.

Dyson DC24
4 people recommended this item
Description
I must say that I NEVER thought I would spend $400 on a vacuum cleaner. However, after buying cheap models over the years and being annoyed with filters, bags, and high maintenance costs of cheaper options, I decided to go for the best. I bought the Dyson DC 24 model which is lightweight (easily lifted with one hand), has all of the bells and whistles of the larger machines, and can easily be maneuvered and stored. If you can get comfortable with the price, it's a great product and I"m really happy with the purchase. When was the last time you actually enjoyed vacuuming? Who am I kidding....the maid uses it but she looks effortless and happy with the product!
