Lancome DÉFINICILS

10 people recommended this item

Description

TIP: BRIGHTEN EYES...by using mascara.

But make sure not to go too heavy or too dark, which makes eyes look hard. Stick with a dark brown or off black mascara that lengthens lashes after you've curled them, like everyone's favorite, Lancome Definicils. Also, waterproof is a good way to keep mascara from smudging and creating a droopy look around eyes and accentuating any dark circles.

Sephora Professional Angled Liner/Eyeliner Brush

First to recommend

Description

TIP: DON"T SKIP THE EYELINER

...and make sure to use an angled brush when applying a dark brown or soft black powder eyeliner. The narrower eyeliner brush can be used to apply eyeliner, but can also double as an eyebrow brush to fill in small gaps.

Anastasia Brow Powder Duo

2 people recommended this item

Description

TIP: Brighten eyes...by filling in eyebrows.

Defined eyebrows set off the eyes and also create the illusion of lift because it draws attention upward. However, don't "draw in" eyebrows or make them too dark. Use a brow powder to fill in gaps in brows with a color that is only slightly darker than hair color. Anastasia is the last word on eyebrows.

Loreal Wear Infinite Soft Powder Eyeliner, Brown Suede

First to recommend

Description

TIP: DO NOT SURRENDER EYELINER.

If you do nothing else on your face -- bare complexion, dry glossless lips, nude cheeks -- at the very least you have to wear eyeliner because it has the highest impact for the lowest investment. However, dark black, thickly applied eyeliner will make tired eyes look even more tired. Opt instead for a powder eyeliner in a dark brown or off-black that will allow you to simply fill in your lash line. Powder liner can be applied with an angled brush, but a "pencil" powder eyeliner like L'oreal's is so much more convenient.

Dior DiorSkin Sculpt Lifting Smoothing Concealer

First to recommend

Description

TIP: Go light on the foundation and concealer...by dotting concealer on blemishes AFTER applying foundation.

For undereye circles, use a concealer without a yellow tint, which will make skin look aged. Dior's Concealer is made specifically to fill in any lines and "sculpt" skin into a youthful complexion.

philosophy the supernatural brush

First to recommend

Description

TIP: Go light on the foundation and concealer...by using a makeup brush to apply a sheer layer of foundation.

Philosophy's Supernatural Brush is meant to be a versatile brush, and since brushes are a tool that are meant to control the product you apply, you won't get the heavy, uneven coverage you get from using your finger to put on foundation.
