Description

Not outdoorsy, not even grown-up, but this is a great read for anyone who enjoys fantasy or science fiction. It's a real conversation (or argument) starter, too, with it's theme on religion and free will. I'm a librarian at heart and "never apologize for your reading tastes" has been my motto since I got my first library card So, next time you plan an overnight camping trip or even an afternoon in some sunny meadow while your partner is trout fishing at a nearby stream, take along some Philip Pullman!

Clif Bar Clif Shot

Description

This is new from Clif Bar and it's really yummy for warming up when you get back in from a cold-weather run or ride (or even walk). Mix it up with milk or soy milk instead of water and you have a nice hot chocolate that sneaks in some electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals. So you get warmed up and refueled for your next outing! Gore Ozon Lady Shorts

Description

Cycling shorts are personal but I think you're going to love these shorts. The fabric is wicking and supportive at the same time. The chamois pad is wide enough at the contact area to cushion on very long rides but not so thick that it chafes in other areas. These aren't shorty-shorts but they aren't super long granny shorts either. And, my absolute favorite feature: no elastic in the front of the waist! So, when you are in the drops for hours, you don't feel like the waistband is squeezing the breath out of you. Gore makes wonderful stuff! Bonus: they come in colors that can coordinate with your jerseys and I think the pattern might make you look narrower from the back side! (via Team Estrogen)
