Seven Cycles Parcour S
First to recommend
Description
Fixed gears are all the rage, not only in urban centers, but Any City, USA. I particularly like this one from the Boston bike manufacturer Seven Cycles. It's titanium which makes it ridiculously light and strong. The downside? It'll cost you a pretty penny. This is what some of my peers would call "Stealh Wealth." The average hipster would not be able to distinguish this apart from a Republic or BikesDirect fixie but those in the know will be turning their heads and giving you thumbs up when you roll by.

Stirrings Cocktail Mixers - Mojito

Description
I love these mixes. Everyone is familiar with the margarita mixes you buy in big plastic jugs for parties. Well, think of this as the more refined one. After all, it comes in glass!
Mojitos are one of my favorite cocktails but who has time to keep around lime, simple syrup, a muddler, etc. With this, you just pour in rum and you're all set.

This isn't your daddy's flashlight. 130 lumens (more than a 4D Maglite), regulated CREE LED, 100 levels of output, orange peel reflector, only 3 inches long, etc. This thing can run for 2.5 days at the lowest setting (which is easily switched to using the PD Drive push button). The numbers don't lie. Welcome to the new generation.

HaberVision - Bormio Sunglasses - Brown

Description
Besides the occasional game of volleyball at the beach or the bike ride, I am wearing sunglasses for style and comfort. I want a more casual look and less of the techie lines that a pair of sporting glasses offer.
The Haber Vision Bormio glasses have a common wrap around structure. They hug your face which makes for clean lines but for someone with a small bridge, the bottom of the frame touches my cheeks. This happens with other glases and get its getting used to.
I thought the construction was sound. There was good pressure around the temples and I had no problem keeping them on my face. The hinges were also smooth, but a little stiff.
Overall, I think these are good pair of glasses. I am not the kind of person to buy cheap glasses then not worry about losing them. I want good quality glasses that I take care of. I think this sort of falls in between.

I know a designdude or two is going to love this. It's for all the cool hip young parents who want to go shopping at Pottery Barn and still be able to reach for that bottle for the little one. I love the buckle, the material, and all the pockets! (via Uncrate)

Cuisinart BRK-200 Brick Oven Deluxe

Description
In Chef Eric Ripert's new food blog, he cooks exclusively in this brick oven. It's pretty pricey but it heats uniformly and is large enough to accommodate large meals. I've had my toaster oven for a few years now. Maybe it's time for an upgrade.

Description
My friend just got back from Hawaii and somehow the conversation turned towards shaved ice. If you've ever had Hawaiian or Taiwanese shaved ice, you know how delicious it is. For those who are really into it, this is about as serious as you can get.

David Ford - Songs For The Road

Description
I just got this in my mailbox the other day so I thought I'd toss on the cans and take a listen. This is one smooth cat. Great music paired with a good voice. Generally indie whiney guys annoy me but Ford isn't like that at all. Ok, maybe a little emotional, but that's alright. Check this album out!

Alife Public Outrage

Description
You have to hand it to the NY brand ALIFE. They somehow managed to not only launch a successful clothing line but also a footwear line that has resulted in exclusive offerings at Barneys. I give Barneys credit in this venture too. That takes some foresight. And balls.
This pair of Public Outrage is obviously stolen from Vans. However, Vans colorways are generally not this aggresive or interesting. Black spots, bold red, and light yellow make a great combo, if you can pull it off.

Acne Jeans Aktie Suit Jacket

Description
Out of the small country of Sweden comes powerhouse brand Acne. They are always pushing the envelope, always progressive, but never really breaking boundaries. That's exactly what I am looking for: reliability and repeatability. This suit jacket is a nice dark charcoal color. The cut is slim but not overly so.
