John Ferdinand Passion Cufflinks
It would appear that the wood from these great looking cufflinks is not only from sustainably-farmed stands, but also... (via markarmstrong)

About Me
My company, REDUCE, works to advise individuals and companies how to increase the sustainability of their activities as well as how to best market those efforts. I abhor ‘greenwashing’ and work only with those whose agenda is genuine.
Further, I’m actively engaged in helping people with great resources (connections, time, money, passion) effectively distribute a portion of these resources to people and projects in need of aid. I rail against “blind” philanthropy, however, and work to fully-educate and engage my partners/clients.
Ultimately, what matters most is that I am absolutely and passionately committed to the only cause worth dedicating my life to: that of helping those visionaries who have the education, experience, and insight to guide all of us to a sustainable model of living. I am a small part of a network of like-minded individuals and organizations who will revolutionize human existence via education, personal choices, market forces and legislation.

What is the next…
Purchase you’ll make?
Tough question. In my effort to REDUCE consumption, I hope to abide by my own rules. Whatever it is, it will be something I NEED, not want.
Trend in design?
Toward sterility, unfortunately. Mac designers continue to hold sway and this is a bad thing for organic, nature-rooted design. We continue to drift away from nature.
Car you’d like to own?
I try not to covet automobiles. Even a car that gets 200MPG does little to solve our current problem. I'd rather have a nice old P-1800 wagon and use it in my living room as art.
Big step you’d like to make?
Educating the U.S. citizenry. MARKETING IS NOT EDUCATION.
Fad that will fade?
Green shopping/eco-consciousness. Hate to say that it's a fad, but it is. People are buying green as another excuse to shop - absolutely antithetical to the notion.
Vacation you’ll take?
Every day, really. I feel fortunate to be where I am.
Thing you’re going to fight for?
Seven generations hence.
Secret that’s going to leak?
Obama and Clinton could care less about environmental issues.
Life you’ll lead?
The best one that I am able and willing to lead.
Fountain of youth?
Is a terrifically bad idea.
Book you’ll read?
Plan B 2.0 - again and again. Along with Cortazar's "Hopscotch"
Thing that will change the world?
Ignorance.
Person to whom you’ll say, “I love you”?
My son, Andrea B, my friends and family + Buckaroo Banzai.
