Laurie Forehand is an American-born graphic designer and pattern designer currently residing in the United States. Inspired by the colors, shapes and textures she finds in nature, designer Laurie Forehand's eclectic compositions and modern aesthetic are a mix of the familiar, the unexpected and the exotic. Her creative use of graphic line art, art deco motifs, and hand-drawn sketches have helped define a style all her own; a style that has leant itself well to a variety of mediums.

Her Scandinavian heritage and unique outlook on modern graphic design techniques have been a launching pad for endeavors such as a paper goods line under her design brand, 1201AM, and more recently an extension of the brand into the interior product design and textile design market with licensing deals for area rugs, wallcoverings and fabrics.

Laurie's design work has been featured in numerous publications including Create Online, Surface Magazine and many online zines and blogs. The 1201AM product line has had much success since it's start in late 2005, and has been sold in popular boutiques across the US and Europe.
