The front shoulder of the pig is what you need-the Boston Butt, always bone in. It is usually the cheapest cut of meat you can get (hard to pay more than $2.50/lb) but if you want to splurge, get the Niman Ranch pig and enjoy the taste of free range pig...

That pile of beautful shredded meat will drip a lot of deliciousness off of it...you have to be able to soak it up with a good, spongy piece of white bread and it gets no better than Wonder.
