I am a New York-based designer, public educator and consultant. I am best known as creator of the Green Apple Map of NYC’s environment and as Founding Director of the award-winning Green Map System, which has energized communities in over 50 countries to chart a sustainable future, as seen at GreenMap.org.
In addition to producing Green Maps and related websites, books, exhibits and presentations, I have consulted, taught, spoken and written on eco-design internationally since 1990. I was a 2005 Terre de Femme/Woman of Earth and appointed Designer in Residence at Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in 1997.
