Samsung snatches title of the Worlds Thinnest LCD TV

Description

At just 6.5 mm thick, the TV is so slim that Samsung actually had to remove the tuner from within and give it to buyers as an individual unit. Its totally hush hush yet but is expected to launch at CES 2009 next week. (via The Earth Times)

As a sleepoholic who is an addict beyond help when it comes to matters relating to his sleep, the shocking alarm clock is a god send. It shocks my lazy arse off the bed each morning. Unlike other alarm clocks that just take a few days in getting used to - and then the unconscious snooze reaction gets hard wired into the brain, the shocking alarm clock will shock you as soon as you tru to turn it off. Since the little beast has to be turned off in any case, the anticipation of the shock itself is more than enough to wake you up each morning. (via Dontdosocks)

Shoes that clean as you walk

The remaining conversation needs to be censored since its usually not something that most decent people would like to hear or read about. Lazy buggers that we are, we sure didnt know at that time that someone would actually dream up shoes that would vaccum the house as you walk around. Electrolux has worked on such a technology which picks up the dust and grime as you walk around. Simply throw out the trash later when you empty the shoes onto the bin. Presto, how is clean and all 'genius' had to do was walk. (via OhGizmo)

Weemote 3: The kiddies way to remote controlling

My Mommee tells me that inquisitive as I was , it didnt exactly bade well for the household electronics. One of the devices that was abused the worst or rather completely demonised was the T.V. remote control. Not only did I manage to surgically remove a few buttons but I also managed to break the mute, #9 and the decrease volume buttons. Rather than go through any of this again with your toddler who is bound to ask for the remote control as soon as he or she understands what it does (I reckon around age groups of 4-7) just go get the Wee-mote. Its the colorful and smart way to give the kiddie some control. Its adult channel safe and works with T.V.'s VCR's and even TiVo. (via Popgadget)

COUGHING SCREAMING ASHTRAY

This is cool, but certainly not for smokers. Coming from a guy who spent most of his University time being surrounded by steam engines which puffed away at every opportunity, I simply could not understand how the guys who were such geniuses in every other case could simply not understand the irrepairable damage that smoking was doing to them. Rather than prohibit smoking in my room, I simply got the coughing ash tray. Shaped in the form of a pair of lungs, they cough and scream like there is no tomorrow. Certainly helps the guys to get things back in perspective when I let their lungs come in front of them to do the talking. (via Bimbambanana)
