Sporadic Wall Panel - Wine Storage
5 people recommended this item
Description
Less utilitarian than the Malaga rack system, the Sporadic is more of a statement and is a beautiful way to store bottles on their side, the way they were meant to. The wood is a gorgeous black walnut and the way it hangs on a wood joint bolted to the wall makes it super-sturdy. LOVE it! (via domaine547)

Description
This is a great local restaurant in Los Angeles and the cooking is some of the best Italian in the city. The recent expansion hasn't compromised the quality. The wine list is pretty good and thoughtful, with many wines by the glass, and many more by the bottle. All of them are Italian, and I've yet to be disappointed (except for by the corkage charge -- this place used to be BYO so paying is tough to get used to!).
Otherwise, nothing beats Mamma's Bolognese.

Murge Designs Horizontal Wine Tote: Pink - $15.00 : Domaine547 - Store

Description
I'm pretty predictable at this point. When people invite me over, they know I'm likely to bring a bottle of wine as a hostess gift. This bag takes things to the next level. I can bring the wine, but in this carrier that has a mod design and which people seem to like so much they have even used it as a clutch (though it's really made as a wine carrier). My predictable gift inside is wrapped by something special outside. Down with velvet and drawstrings!

2006 Max Ferd. Richter Zeppelin Riesling, Mosel, Germany - $14.99: Domaine547 - Store

Description
I haven't had too many rieslings so I'm not completely an expert, but I really liked this wine a lot. It's got a little bit of residual sugar but not too much. What can I say other than it's delicious? I know, not the most helpful tasting note but sometimes all you have is an emotional response to something that is simple but pure. (via domaine547)

I guess I'm sort of like most people in that I tend to drink more red wine than white, but I thought I'd give this a shot based on some glowing things I'd heard about the wine. $40+ is more than I usually spend on white wines, too, so I had pretty high expectations. So my recommendation comes after the wine met quite a high standard that I'd set out. It was really worth it, and the crispness and purity of the wine will help it go with almost any food you're serving. I give this my highest recommendation.

Le Nez du Vin: 24 Aroma Reds and Whites Kit

Description
This definitely brings out my inner-geek. This could be my favorite wine-related gift I've ever received (outside of actual wine). So helpful especially with those hard to find scents that you always hear about when reading about wine, but which don't really make appearances in everyday life. Plus, there is a great book that comes with this that is worth the money on its own.

2005 Tenuta di Trinoro Le Cupole Rosso, Toscana - $35.99 : Domaine547 - Store

Description
This is a fantastic wine. For those of you who think Italian wines are too bitter, this one will prove you wrong. For the rest of you who think super Tuscans are kind of too homogenized or lack a sense of place, this will prove you wrong. Lots of red cherry with a little bit of leather in the aromas, medium bodied but lively. Really great stuff.
