About Me
I am a native Londoner, but I moved to California a while ago to hang out in the sun, play music, and write about organic food out here.
I’ve had thirteen books published so far, and all of them are about organic food and organic living. They include: Organic Cookbook; Fresh & Wild - A Real Food Adventure; and The Real Taste of Japan plus my industry report for Reuters about the international organic, functional and whole foods market.
My books have been praised by a bunch of great publications. Conde Nast’s Easy Living magazine featured me last year, House & Home Ideas magazine called me an eco-hero (which I was particularly pleased about).
My writing has been published in Food Illustrated, Organic Style, Natural Products News, Natural Parent, Yoga, and Organic Living, plus many other British, American and Asian magazines. I was founding consultant editor of Organic magazine in the UK, and have appeared on the BBC and independent radio as well as podcasting. My books have been translated into a number of languages, and go down particularly well in France. Oh, and I have run this organic magazine since 1999.
I’m currently living in a co-op house in central Los Angeles with eleven room mates, a chicken and a duck. When not writing or speaking about organic food, you can find me either making music or tending to the organic vegetable patch.
