Karmaloop.com - Twilight Jacket in Lake Blue By BB Dakota

Description
If I do nothing else right in my 11-year-old's eyes this year, I will still be receiving a nomination for Greatest Mother on the Planet for having purchased this jacket from Karmaloop earlier this summer (the size XS fits her perfectly).
The jacket is, in her words, exactly what Bella is wearing "in, like, the two most important scenes in ,like, the movie!!!!" I can concur because as soon as she opened the box she put it on and made me watch the movie for the 6th time. We compared pocket for pocket, zipper for zipper. It's a match.
It's not cheap but I can attest to the fact that it's so well made and substantial that it will make a great winter coat if you live anywhere that isn't covered with 3-feet of snow. Perfect for fall regardless of your zip code.
The color is a really gorgeous, unusual shade of blue, a tad deeper and darker than that shown in the photo.
Best of all, this alone- when paired with clothes already likely to be in your tween's closet, would make an awesome Bella costume for Halloween.

Gigapan Epic Imager

Description
This is going to be an epic fail rec if I actually attempt to explain how this works. I don't know how the hell it works. But I did SEE it in action on a recent weekend photo shoot in Chicago and.... well it's fricking wow. Big-time wow. (Yes, I could get more blonde. And might before this review is done.)
What is it? Look to the site for the official explanation. To me, it is a magical little robotic creature that attaches to your tripod and with the push of a few buttons to set the parameters (so simple, even I could do it) it starts moving and clicking your point-and-shoot camera to capture gigapixel panoramic images. The resolution is incredible. Truly, you just hit a few buttons and step back. It does the rest. Up, down, side to side... like a little robotic, picture-taking geisha.
Oh forget it. I give up trying to explain it. It's really cool and you should go look at the site. Here endeth the lesson.

Sanho Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA

Description
Me shoot pretty one day. In the meantime, I'm taking a hell of a lot of bad photographs and plowing through my 8 GB flashdrive. Storing images in raw format will fill one of those cards in.... well, in an hour or two, as I discovered on a recent helicopter trip. Luckily, a professional photographer friend whipped out this little bad boy. My world was rocked. Right on the spot, you can pop the card into it and it sucks all those files inside for safe-keeping, leaving you with an empty flash card for immediate use. It's available in several sizes. I went the Goldilocks route and got the 250- not too big, not too small. Juuuust right.
from the site:
The HyperDrive COLORSPACE UDMA is a high-capacity stand-alone storage device with a plethora of state-of-the-art data-management and security tools. Its sleek form-factor and powerful feature-set offers digital photographers peace of mind, speed of operation, and the ability to travel light and move quickly. This compact hand-held device ensures a seamless workflow by allowing photographers to shoot without hesitation; up to 250GB of JPEGs or raw files can be transferred at 2GB/minute on a single battery charge.
Inside the HyperDrive, S.M.A.R.T. constantly monitors the hard drive's status for potential issues. A built-in data recovery tool can be employed to recover formatted, deleted, lost, or corrupted files from most memory cards. The integrity of each data-backup is checked by the CRC copy-verification system, and Data-Synchronization allows the HyperDrive to mirror its contents onto another HyperDrive or an external hard drive via USB OTG host technology. Incremental Backup allows the transfer of new images, while skipping over all of the previously saved data.
The HyperDrive's integral 3.2" QVGA LCD screen delivers vibrant color, contrast, and sharpness for on-site editing and proofing. Viewing raw files on the HyperDrive is never a problem, thanks to its raw-decoder; virtually any camera's raw file can be displayed, including those from medium-format digital backs. The zoom feature allows the shooter to confirm focus and overall sharpness, while the comprehensive R/G/B histogram can be accessed to provide exposure level information.

{Honeyfund} Free Wedding Registry- Pay for Your Honeymoon!
First to recommend
Description
Wow. Really, wow. I LOVE this!
I just got the registry link for a college buddy's upcoming wedding. They have all of the traditional stuff they need so they've gone a very cool route- setting up a registry to pay for their honeymoon in Italy.
But you aren't just tossing change into an impersonal group fund. Nope. Much more outstanding than that. Each element of their journey- from a wine tasting tour to Tuscan cheese classes to their last night's Bon Voyage dinner- is itemized. So you can select a special, meaningful experience to give to them.
What did I pick? Hey, I'm Irish. I live in WI. Booze and cheese, of course.
Best of all, the site is free!

I would love to offer up individual witty commentaries for this trough of t-shirts that I'm about to spank up onto thisnext but you know what? Not gonna happen. Not this time. No way, no how.
And why not?
Because I am literally bouncing up and down in the chair, tapping my Visa on my knee like some kind of hillbilly fashionista escapee from a 12-step program, hyperventilating in anticipation of what I'm about to do.
Which is buy just about one of every pattern. Love them. Love them to the point that I intend to roll around in them on the bed when they arrive.
So hurry up if you want one too. Momma's goin' a ' shoppin'.....
