I see a page with products from my site, how can I customize it with my brand and newer products?

Simply email retailers@thisnext.com with the URL of your page and we’ll set you up with a username and password so you can start adding merchandise and customizing your page.

How do I create a new retailer profile with products from my site?

Check out our directory of retailers and see if your store already has a page. If it does, just email retailers@thisnext.com and let us know you’d like to claim it. If your page doesn’t exist yet, drop us a line at retailers@thisnext.com, with a link to your online store and tell us why you think you’d make a great addition to our community.

Where do the products come from that appear on my profile?

Your profile is automatically populated with all of the products that the ThisNext community has recommended from your website. Each time someone recommends a new product from your site, it will appear in your profile. You have the option to then add your own recommendation or description for these products.

When you write a recommendation for a product, it then becomes a “featured product” on your profile.

How do I add products to my profile?

There are 2 ways to add your own products to your profile.

1. Cut and paste a product URL from your site into the “Recommend” drop-down at the top of every page
2. Drag and drop our bookmarklet onto your toolbar and simply click “Add to ThisNext” when you’re on any site to add that page.

Then make sure to fill out all the relevant details. Don’t forget to add tags!

Why isn’t the correct image showing up when I’m adding my products?

We do the best that we can to automatically import images from sites that you might use to recommend products, but we can’t always grab the right images from sites that use Flash or are implemented with frames. If the image you’re looking for doesn’t automatically appear, you can always upload it from your computer.

How do I add descriptions to products that are already on my profile?

You can give users a more detailed description, including product specs by entering it in the recommendation field. When you’re viewing the item details, click the link to “recommend this item” and fill in the form. You have a unique perspective on your own products, so be sure to give users information that a regular user probably wouldn’t include.

How do I feature certain products on my profile?

Any products that you add descriptions to become featured on your profile. To write descriptions for any of the products that other users have recommended, click to view the item and then select “Recommend this item”.

Any product you add from your site that hasn’t been recommended by a ThisNext member will automatically be placed in your featured products section.

If you recommend products from other merchants or users, they will also be added to your featured products.

How can I delete products from my profile?

You can delete products from your featured area by removing the description that you have added.Unfortunately any product that another user has recommended from your domain will always appear on your profile. It can only be removed if the user deletes their recommendation.

How can I organize my products into different sections?

Some retailers have found that our lists feature is a great way to help your shoppers find what they’re looking for on your profile. Creating lists like “Men’s T-Shirts” or “Cookware” makes it easy to mirror some of the sections on your home site.

Is there an easy way for my customers to add products to ThisNext from my web site?

Yes, we created the “Add to ThisNext” button for web sites interested in helping their customers recommend their products on ThisNext.com.

The link at the end of this paragraph provides all of the information you’ll need to deploy an “Add to ThisNext” button to your site.

Upon implementation, when your customers click the button, it will open a second browser window where they can quickly recommend the item on ThisNext -- without leaving your web site. Click here for everything you’ll need to add the button to your site.
