how do we really know and who do we ask to find out if this is really eco friendly.. and where is it made? china in some factory where the wages are bad?
I hear littlegreenmen, but the fact that it's made from repurposed materials is enough to let the "eco-friendly" description slide. I think it speaks volumes that a so high profile a company could have a shoe made by so high profile an athlete that utilizes materials that might otherwise go to waste. It's a PR move for Nike, but it's still progressive, and it looks pretty good for a basketball sneaker.
