The Week is an addiction. Smart, well-edited round ups from all the important newspapers, magazines and online sites. I actually feel smarter after I've read it---which takes about an hour, max.
This is a must-read magazine: smart, balanced, and easily-grokked. The Week is an overview of what happened the prior week (hence the name) and it tends to focus mostly on politics, foreign policy, and biz/econ, though they have some good lifestyle coverage too. The Week is one of the fastest, most comprehensive ways to keep on top of what is happening. The Week summarizes what other mainstream media pubs are saying so you get a left/right/center POV on the issues w/out having to wade thru a ton of reading. Great when you are super time-constrained and don't want your worldview to become too myopic.
Who would have thought that classless Brit who gave us Maxim and Bizarre magazines, Felix Dennis, would gather erudite editors together and let them compile an excellent and easily digestible news magazine called "The Week"? Well, he did and they did and it is. Stay up-to-date, even when you're too busy to be insulted by TV morning shows or so-called newsmagazines.
