Another weird but useful device to put on a keychain from Swiss+Tech. Press the main button, and a laser flips on for precise targeting, while an audible click let's you know when it's done. The display reads out the distance in both feet and meters (and includes the inches and centimeters as well).

Swiss+Tech likes to cram every one of their products with as many 'functions' as possible, and the Smart Rule is no exception:

-Ultrasonic Measurer
-Laser Pointer
-LED flashlight (a bit weak)
-and an awkwardly placed, red 'Panic Alarm' button that is way to easy to press and wake up the neighbors.

How is that 7 tools in one? I don't know, you do the math. Swiss+Tech also has a perverse obsession of having you carry their products on your keychain. Please don't with this one. But around the house, a really handy tool. $29 and available in black and white.

Also good for messing around with bats and dolphins.
