Oh my goodness. Christmas Break, 1979. One of those discount places that's hardly ever open, with tables and tables of bins of things nobody bought the first time around... or when it went on sale... or when it went on clearance. There was a big bin of Mego Star Trek 8" action figures--mostly McCoy, as I recall, but there might have been some Kirks and Spocks too. I didn't buy them. I've been regretting it ever since.

Now my chance has come around again, in the form of these nifty reproductions of the truly ugly Mego figures. I don't know that I want them anymore, but they'd make nice stocking stuffers for the Trek fans on your list this year.
