A great album

Not your typical electronic. Crystal Castles stands apart from the crowd thanks to their catchy, danceable beats that create the foundation for complex layers of noise that ultimately create some version of "music." Listen to "Courtship Dating" and you'll see what I mean. The song takes a repetitive chorus and electronic melody, lays it over a mid-tempo dance beat, and adds in what seem like endless sound details, like animal growling and a person screaming. But for some reason it works.
Perfect music to "get lost" in.

I'll put it this was, I know a significant amount of people that count this as one of their favorite albums of 2008. If you're into progressive electronic or crazy experimental, this is for you. I've never heard anything like it.

Featuring the song crimewave and alice practice, crystal castles is a good friend to have when you're in the mood to move your body. With synth reminiscent of 80's video games and the screeching voice of Alice Glass, there's no other choice than to dance.
