The cat lady is a sad element in society. I had one that had 40 cats down the street from me and 7 dogs.

Hoarders are a very sad element but not all Cat Crazy ladies are animal hoarders. I have one dog and usually 8-10 cats at any given time. My cats are all rescues, taken from the streets in need of human intervention. All are vet treated, spayed, neutered, vaccinated and waiting for someone to give them a forever loving home.
I didn't want these cats but the puplic need to be educated about the importance of spay and neuter. That cute little kitten your neighbor got for FREE this past spring, can have a litter of her own this fall if not spayed. Finding homes for them is not easy and many will be allowed to free roam. The births of more unwanted litters of kittens will begin in your neighborhood. Under porches, decks and in garages and the cycle will continue until as a community we accept responsibility and control the population. The cats can not take themselves to the clinic.
