Chicago was first recommended by...

I had seen the stage play many years ago and enjoyed it but I was more impressed with the movie version. I am not really a fan of Catherine Zeta Jones or Renee Zellweger but really enjoyed them in the movie.

The reason this is going on my favorites list is because the *way* the movie was filmed was incredibly innovative. It kept the feel of a stage play the whole way through. The actors were great, loved the choreography. Much to my boyfriend's dismay I don't think I will ever tire of watching it, especially the "Mr. Cellophane" scene with John C. Reily. (via amazon.com)

We absolutely loved this stylishy sexy movie - Catherine Zeta-Jones' experience in musicals onstage serves her well in her role as Velma Kelley and her smoldering sensuality heats up the screen. Her solo dance numbers are mesmerizing and she pumps the energy level of the film to a fevered pitch.

Thank you Baz Luhrmann for bringing back the movie musical, and thank you Rob Marshall for picking up the gauntlet and delivering a wildly entertaining musical (via Nicole)
