Kids going back to school? "Lighten" their reading load by adding a few books they can read for pleasure, including the first book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Personally, this one is my favorite of all of them - th original. (via About.com)

The great beginning of one of the world's most wonderful series. I thoroughly enjoyed being introduced to Harry Potter and his world through this book and introducing him to others who have also since gotten hooked on The Boy Who Lived. I wholly recommend jumping on the Harry Potter bandwagon although the series has now come to an end.
