  The Bose Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System is a speaker system designed for computer users, it connects via USB. However there is no reason it couldn't be used with a small home theater system. This system is for surround like performance with only 2 speakers and a subwoofer. This is a decent sounding system for giving some more low end to movies and games without setting you back as much as a true surround sound set up might cost.

  I just got this system for my mac book pro set up in my new office. Sound is awesome, and the price point was on the money. There is a very cool control panel that sits on the desk that controls volume, on/off and headphones. Not to be missed!!
