I fell in love with all things Dutch in college, including the mind blowing, intricate banknote designs of Oxenaar and Drupsteen. My favorite is the 50 guilder note with the gorgeous sunflower and the bee. According to the designer, Oxenaar, the bee shifted positions on the print mechanical and he was delighted that it took flight during production. I discoverer this gem in a tiny bookstore in Amsterdam and was overjoyed to see that it was published in English as well as Dutch.
