This camera is definately on my wishlist. It's a 6 count'em SIX Mega-Pixel digital camera, with an awesomely large 3" LCD screen. This can take videos up to a minute long, you can display your pictures and movies on your TV at home, you can enlarge and zoom and do everything to your pictures, right there on the camera. Its amazing, at about 350$ I think this camera is awesome. I gotta get mine.

It's compact and takes great pictures

Size & Design

The elphs have a small, compact size in common. The 630 is a little larger than some other models, but still small enough to slip into your pocket and go. It's so easy to carry around at the park or on vacation. The fact that the lens retracts - while it sometimes leads to problems - is very convenient because you don't forget to cap (or uncap) your camera. It's also a very sleek model with a huge LCD screen.

Picture Taking

From minor details to wide-open scenery, the 630 has been able to handle my needs. You have up to 3x manual zoom or 12x digital zoom (that's shut OFF as a default - very easy to turn on in the menu settings). I find the quality and features more than justify the price.

Movie Making

Unlike other elph models, the 630 allows you to film as much video as you have memory to support. It records decent audio (if you remember to keep your thumb OFF the microphone!) and video quality is nice. I like that it downloads in avi format, as it makes it very easy to edit.

I love the Canon powershot digital camera. It's compact and very user friendly. I love that everything about it, especially the larger LCD screen. One of my favorite accessories while traveling. It captures the essence of where ever I go.

This is what I want to get myself for Christmas: a compact digital camera that packs a punch. 6 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, large LCD display, and great battery life... what more could the amateur photographer ask?
