I love setting up Christmas Villages on our fireplace mantle and under the Christmas tree.
My husband never shared my enthusiasm until I was able to find more "manly" type sets. This year I found three to add to his collection: a John Deere village, a NY Jets village and also a NASCAR village.

    I love setting up Christmas Villages on our fireplace mantle and under the Christmas tree. My husband never shared my enthusiasm until I was able to find more "manly" type sets. This year I found three to add to his collection: a John Deere village, a NY Jets village and also a NASCAR village. I know that both my husband and my son will be a bit more excited about Christmas "thingys" ( that's what they call them) and maybe they will even help decorate the tree -no, I think that's asking a bit too much.

      I understand this. I have three children, two boys and one girl. My older son is married and my daughter is in college. that leave my husband and my youngest son (who is 17) at home. Last year decorating for christmas was as fun as going to the dentist to have a tooth pulled. They like how everything looks when it is done, but decorating isn't their thing. I miss my daughter most at times like this. Thank you for the sugestions and i will try some more manly decorations.
