This movie is just so so good. Its the 90's version of Fast and the Furious and it deals with waves. Keanu is the older Paul Walker. (via amazon.com)

I cannot possibly count the many ways in which I love the movie Point Break, but here are the top five:

1. The speech that Patrick Swayze gives the Ex-Presidents as they're all sitting around the fire, which reaches its height of brilliance at the line: "We stand for something. To those dead souls inching along the freeways in their metal coffins, we show them that the human spirit is still alive." Dude, genius!

2. The fact that one of the characters is actually named "Warchild."

3. It's one of the oh-so-rare action movies directed by a woman.

4. Cameo appearance by Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

5. More foxy boys per capita than practically any other movie ever made. And I love Keanu so much - then, now, always and forever.

When the waters are too big you don't float! Point Break is a hysteric party on the seas! Follow an undercover police office played by Keanu Reeves through the seedy underbelly of a surfer gang that may be doing something a little more dangerous while on shore! Patrick Swayze is definitely on his game in this one!

I went to see "Point Break Live!" the stage show in LA a couple of months back and it was so awesome I was promoted to buy the original Swayze/Keanu movie.

Everyone should buy this DVD, savour its cheesiness and blatant homo-eroticism and then run and see the stage show (in SF, LA, NYC
I think)

Keanu Reeves is an anamoly to me. How does he turn out such awesome movies. Sure he has some stinkers. But logically, his career should be dead an buried by now. This is one of my favorite action movies. See KR is undercover as a surfer dude who joins a band of like minded beach bum burnouts (Swayze & Co.) who also, rob banks and ish. Whooooaaaa.
