These little things have eliminated my hatred of cords behind "things." I've tied up cables in the kitchen, living room and office. Now, instead of a mess of cables or my sad attempt to zip-tie them, I have these little orbs (color coordinated, of course) that contain most of the extra lengh of cords. They also make it easy to let out or take in as needed. (via The Container Store)

Thank you, thank you, thank you cable turtles! You have almost eliminated wire-tangles behind my desk. For this, I am indebted.
Cable Turtles are smart pieces of silicone that fold up with a little effort and than roll back down. Simply open, wrap excess cord length around the core, and close it up all nice and neat like. They're great, and come in lots of colors too - black, gray, blue, red, green, etc. Nice boxes too.
