How cool is this! and it will only set you back a mere ~1.5 million. This bed was designed by the architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars (of course he's Dutch, where else does cool design come from?) According to the architect's website http://www.universearchitecture.com it's modeled on Stanley Kubrick's monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Who wouldn't want to sleep in suspended heavenly bliss? This bed has enough magnets to suspend nearly 2,000 lbs. It has cables attached to the floor to keep the bed in place. I'm sure it will cost you a pretty penny!
