this memento-esque film noir tells its story backwards...and what a story it is. if you can stomach it i would totally recommend this movie.

Great thought provoking film that runs backwards, telling the story of three friends. The film starts with one of the men being arrested at a night club for murder. As the story progresses to the events leading up to the arrest we learn the reason for the brutal (and hard to stomach) killing. The movie has the most disturbing scene I've ever seen on film, which caused several people to walk out sick to their stomach. Hard to swallow, but worth watching. (via Amazon)

Another masterpiece of Casper Noé. Told in backwards style a la Memento, it starts of with a reference to Seul Contre Tous, before moving to heavy disturbing tale of violence and injustice for the first half.
If you think your have seen violent and disturbing scene's before, you are in for a surprise.
While second half of the movie is much lighter, it deepens the tragedy witnessed in the first half, leaving the viewer disenchanted. One of the best movies without a happy ending.
