This unit is EXTREMELY quiet on lowest speed and really effictive. when i sleep at night, i put it on auto mode and i don't hear anything . Most of time i put it in living room because my dad's smoker. when the unit is on, It's amazing that i don't smell the smoke when my dad is smokin. I have a pretty big living room. when i first got it, i put on high speed, WHAT A DIFFERENT, the air smell dif than before. The machine only consumes 7 watts at minimum speed + the surface of the unit doesn't get dirty easily :D and they have a 5 year warranty, most of products today only last for less than a year ( or 1 yr warranty), i think Rabbit Air machine is made in Japan or korea.
