there are very few movies that can really capture my attention because if it doesn't make me think hard about it for days afterward, it isn't worth it. memento is one movie that is still all tangled up inside my head.

You can't watch this one just once. It's more amazing every time I see it.

Excellent chaos

I love how the filmmakers force the viewer to encounter the same problems as the main character. He cannot remember what happened ten minutes ago and the audience has no idea what happened ten minutes ago (timeline-wise). Plus the audience is forced to remember what happened at the beginning of a scene in order to put it together with the end of the next scene they are about to watch.

It creates an effect of serious time confusion, which I guess is what Guy Pearce was dealing with.

If you missed "Memento" click over to Netflix and add it to your list to get the DVD! "Memento" is an incredible movie that will play with your head. Telling you that it is a movie in reverse gives away nothing. You cannot imagine how "Memento" is consructed until you see it. W\hat are you doing still reading... go get it NOW! (via Nicole)
