It has a tensile strength superior to steel and is on of the most versatile and durable resources in the world. When bamboo is harvested, the roots remain undamaged and it simply grows back from where it was cut. It is capable of growing almost anywhere, doesn’t require fertilisers or pesticides and is even thought to be able to remove pollutants from the water cycle. A truly green plant!
