In Brian Greer’s Petersburg, Ontario, shop, shelves and walls are lined with turn-of-the-century tools. Working with tin ceilings since 1962, Greer adds historical flourish to interiors trapped in the present day. The company offers simple patterns like trefoils, coffered squares and stars, as well as ornate florals and sneering gargoyles pressed into tin. Moldings, cornices, medallions, friezes and custom finials are available in tin, chrome, copper, brass and pewter. Greer’s comprehensive website includes a design tool as well as a downloadable step-by-step installation film.
