I was not impressed by it's appearance, but my curiosity was piqued. I had seen portable french presses that looked similar, but hadn't heard such promises of great coffee. But believe it or not, this homely press makes really freakin' good coffee! Just as good, if not better than my glass french presses. This tabletop press, constructed of 18/8 marine grade stainless steel is also incredibly durable and equally impressive in its ability to retain heat for extended periods of time.
