It's smart detachable acid-free paper pages that I love most about these journals. I use the smallest pocket size journals, they are easy to carry, so I tend to carry several in my bag. I use them for different projects I'm working on then when I'm done with the study sketches I'll use the larger water color moleskines for the final works. I also like the Cahier Journals cardboard cover, sometimes I like it when things like sketch books show age their age over time.
