We (music consumers) are all moveing into the post-packaging era of music history, as more music lovers scan through list to pick and chose individual tracks for download, the cult of the album and album cover art is vanishing from the habits of the mainstream. Here is a example of the last gasp of album driven music, the 2008 4AD "Dead Can Dance Box Set". it's a re-issue of the nine Dead Can Dance albums, a limited edition of 1500 box sets containing all albums in Hybrid Stereo SACD format (which will also play on regular CD players). All albums have been remastered by MFSL (Mobile Fidelity Sound Laboratory), one of the most respected audiophile labels in the USA. The albums are packaged in Japanese paper sleeves which replicate the original UK vinyl releases - down to the finest details of replica inner sleeves, and new booklets with lyrics, album labels and further images. I sugest that if you are new to ambum art, or if you are new to Dead Can Dance you need to experiance the best. This is the perfect place to start
