I know BSS is nothing new, but I just saw the movie Half Nelson and the soundtrack reminded me that You Forgot It In People was also once my own soundtrack, back when I was living in NYC, feeling tired and disillusioned. (No, I didn't have a cocaine habit, nor was I a junior high school teacher.)

broken social scene has a great number of members which explains why it is characterized by a large number of sounds. This is their best album by far.

Straight from Toronto, Canada, Broken Social Scene has taken the indie rock scene by storm with beautifully orchestrated tranquil sounds, which is created by 19 members.

You Forgot It in People features amazing songs such as "Pacific Time" (heard in the L Word), "Looks Just Like the Sun" (Nip/Tuck) and my favorite, "Almost Crimes."

I saw them open up for Bloc Party a couple of years ago and they completely blew my mind. Want in on this experience?
